Terms of service

The service

Mailhaven provides hosted mailboxes on domains you control. On the bring-your-own path you supply the provider account and remain responsible for its terms and its sending reputation. On the platform path Mailhaven sends on your behalf from a shared domain.

Acceptable use

The shared platform domain may not be used for unsolicited bulk mail, phishing, malware distribution or any traffic you are not authorised to send. Accounts that put the shared reputation at risk are suspended; suspension pauses sending and never deletes stored mail.

Plan limits

Address counts, attachment storage and send limits are enforced on the server. Exceeding a limit results in a clear refusal, not a silent drop. Limits reset on the schedule shown on your billing page.

Availability and delivery

Inbound messages are persisted before their content is fetched, and content fetches are retried with exponential backoff. Mailhaven does not guarantee that any third-party provider accepts, delivers or retains a given message.

Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time, which removes your stored mail and credentials. The operator may end service for the acceptable-use reasons above, with reasonable notice where circumstances allow.
